一、简介
*GLASS-CHEK系列仪器可以量测玻璃厚度及中空玻璃的间隔距离
*所有仪器都能从单面就获取数据.
*只要简单地将仪器压在单片玻璃或中空玻璃的表面，按住电源键直到量测结果產生数位显示出来.
*每片玻璃的厚度,间隔距离和IG的总厚度就会在同时显示出来.
二、操作方式：
*很简单的把仪器压在待测物上，然后按住电源键.大约六秒鐘后,数据会显示出来.
*由於有些玻璃和空间是不统一的,我们建议您在窗户的不同区域做多次量测,以确保结果的準确.
*如果读数尚未显示,请确定受测的玻璃样品是否乾净,雷射发射处是否乾净没有任何灰尘.
*雷射发射处是在仪器的背面（开关键背后）.
*请永远使用吹气或是乾净,不会起毛的软布来清洁这个区域.
*在每次读取数据前,请确认不要从反面直视雷射光
*如果玻璃有low-e镀膜,仪器会显示"LOW-E: NEAR"
*如果受测的玻璃没有包含low-e镀膜,它会显示"LOW-E: CLEAR"
*GLASS-CHEK+是单片玻璃low-e侦测器,故一次只能量测一片玻璃.因此,您必须在窗户的双面都做量测.

General Description 简介
The GLASS-CHEK family of test instruments measures the thickness of both lites of glass, as well as the air space of an insulating glass window assembly.
GLASS-CHEK系列仪器可以量测玻璃厚度及中空玻璃的间隔距离
All measurements can be obtained from a single side.
所有仪器都能从单面就获取数据.
Simply press the GLASS-CHEK meter against a single lite of glass, or a dual lite window assembly, push the power button and hold it until the measurements are digitally displayed.
只要简单地将仪器压在单片玻璃或中空玻璃的表面，按住电源键直到量测结果產生数位显示出来.
The thickness of each lite of glass, the air space, and the overall thickness of the IG unit will simultaneously appear on the 2-line liquid crystal display.
每片玻璃的厚度,间隔距离和IG的总厚度就会在同时显示出来.
The GLASS-CHEK+ contains a single lite Low-E coating detector.
这仪器包含了一个low-e镀膜侦测器.
The single lite Low-E detector will test the nearest lite of glass in an IG unit.
该Low-E检测器将会检测IG中离它最近的一片玻璃.
To fully characterize an IG unit, the Low-E must be tested on both sides of the window.
所以，要得到全面的资讯，必须双面都做量测才能得知.
All Low-E coatings are conductive, unfortunately so is pollution. 所有的low-e镀膜都能导电,但不幸地,也会被污染.
Make sure that the window is reasonably clean.
请确认窗户是乾净的.
This instrument is factory calibrated and needs no field adjustment.
这仪器已经在工厂校準好,不需要再做调整.
 
 

Operating The Meter 操作方式
Simply press the GLASS-CHEK/GLASS-CHEK+ meter against the single or dual lite window assembly and push the button.
很简单的把仪器压在待测物上，然后按住电源键.
The reading will appear in approximately 6 seconds.
大约六秒鐘后,数据会显示出来.
Due to the non-uniformity of some glass and air spaces, we recommend taking multiple readings on different areas of the window to accurately identify an insulating units dimensions.
由於有些玻璃和空间是不统一的,我们建议您在窗户的不同区域做多次量测,以确保结果的準确.
If a reading does not appear, ensure that the glass sample under test is clean and that the exit location (aperture) of the laser is clear of lint, dirt or other contaminants.
如果读数尚未显示,请确定受测的玻璃样品是否乾净,雷射发射处是否乾净没有任何灰尘.
The laser aperture is on the back side of the GLASS-CHEK enclosure (opposite the power button).
雷射发射处是在仪器的背面(开关键背后).
Always use air or a clean, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth to clean the laser aperture area.
请永远使用吹气或是乾净,不会起毛的软布来清洁这个区域.
Before each reading is taken, check the opposite side of the window under test to ensure that no one will be looking directly into the laser aperture.

在每次读取数据前,请确认不要从反面直视雷射光.
 

When the GLASS-CHEK+ is contacting a lite of glass with a Low-E coating, the message "LOW-E: NEAR" will appear.
如果玻璃有low-e镀膜,仪器会显示"LOW-E: NEAR"
If the glass under test does not contain Low-E coating, the message "LOW-E: CLEAR" will appear.
如果受测的玻璃没有包含low-e镀膜,它会显示"LOW-E: CLEAR"
The GLASS-CHEK+ is a single lite LOW-E detector; it will test only one lite of glass at a time.
GLASS-CHEK+是单片玻璃low-e侦测器,故一次只能量测一片玻璃.
Therefore, you must test both sides of a DUAL LITE window assembly.
因此,您必须在窗户的双面都做量测.
 

GLASS-CHEK / GLASS-CHEK+ Display Format 显示型式
The display of the GLASS-CHEK meter was set up at the factory to reflect the customers requested format.
这仪器的显示出厂前已设定,且反应客户的需求.
To change the display format, place the meter against a dual lite assembly and take a full set of readings.
若要改变显示型式,则要把仪器放到中空玻璃上,然后执行一个完整的读取设定.
After the readings are displayed, continue to hold the button for approximately 30 to 40 seconds.
在读数开始显示时,按著钮持续大约三到四十秒.
The screen will blank and the version of software will be displayed.
萤幕会呈现空白,软体的版本就会显示出来.
Next the screen will begin flashing through several display formats.
接下来会闪过几种显式的型式.
When the screen shows the display format you desire, release the button.
当您看到您想要的显示型式,就放掉按钮.
Your meter is now equipped to read in the display format you selected.
这样您的仪器就会照您所选的型式来显示了.
 

GLASS-CHEK Improper Glass Thickness Operating Conditions 不正确的操作方式
If the window area under test excessively dirty or contaminated, the GLASS-CHEK/GLASS-CHEK+ will give improper results or display a blank line with IN (inches) or MM (millimeters) by itself at the far right side of the display.
如果受测品太脏污,仪器会在离显示区很远的地方显示不正确的结果或是產生一条白线.
The window area under test must be RELATIVELY CLEAN.
玻璃的受测区一定要是乾净的.
Clean the test area or move the GLASS-CHEK/GLASS-CHEK+ to a clean location on the window.
把受测区擦乾净,或是把仪器放到乾净的区域做测试.
 
 

 The GLASS-CHEK/GLASS-CHEK+ uses a light/laser beam to measure the thickness of the glass and air space.
这仪器使用雷射来量测玻璃的厚度和空间.
The unit may be affected by extremely bright lights or facing the sun directly.
量测时有可能直接地面向光源或太阳光.
The screen will blank after testing and display only an IN (inches) or MM (millimeter) symbol at the end of the display line or the message "EXCESSIVE LIGHT" will appear.
在测试后萤幕会空白,在显示区的尾端会显示英吋或厘米,抑或是会出现”过度光源”.
Move to a different location on the unit under test or shade the laser aperture.
请移到不同的区域然后遮住雷射光.
METHOD OF SHADING: Cup your hand over the right side of the unit If the light source is behind you.
遮的方式: 若光源从您身后来,请从右侧将您的手遮住它.
 2: If directly facing the light, attempt to block it or move to another location.
若是直接面向光源,则阻挡光线或是移到另一个区域.
 

 
The GLASS-CHEK/GLASS-CHEK+ must be used with the surface opposite the "Activate" button against the window.
使用时必须将正确的测量面靠住玻璃表面并且仪器与玻璃表面不能倾斜
Using the small end surface of the unit or tilting the unit away from the surface will give improper results.
否则会產生测量错误。
 
 

Operating the GLASS-CHEK/GLASS-CHEK+ while in contact with a hand or object other than a window surface constitutes improper operation.
若是把手或物体接触窗户表面,就会產生错误的现象.
Operate only while the testing surface of the unit is in contact with a legitimate window surface.
只有在量测时,才让仪器碰触窗户的表面.
 

GLASS-CHEK + Improper Low E Operating Conditions 错误的操作方式

 
If the window area under test is excessively dirty or contaminated, the GLASS-CHEK+ will give improper results.
如果受测品太脏污,仪器会显示不正确的结果.
The window area under test must be RELATIVELY CLEAN.
受测玻璃一定要乾净.
Clean the test area or move the GLASS-CHEK+ to a clean location on the window.
请把受测区擦乾净,或是移到一个玻璃上乾净的地方做量测.
 
 

 IMPORTANT:
Do not operate GLASS-CHEK+ within three (3) inches of a window frame or any other metallic window component. Operating the unit in this way may give improper results
重要：

不要在窗框或是任何窗户其他金属部份三英吋以内做量测.
这样的话会產生不正确的量测结果.
 

 
Placing the hand or an object on a single lite of glass opposite the GLASS-CHEK+ may give improper results. Remove hand or object.

Glass-Chek displays a partial reading or no reading at all (only "mm" or "in" appear on the display).
仪器只显示部份数据或是完全未显示(只有显示单位)

 1.      Ensure that the Glass-Chek is placed against the glass surface correctly.
请确定仪器是否正确地触碰玻璃表面.

2.      Make sure the unit is placed flat against the glass surface.
请确认很平稳地触碰玻璃表面.

3.      Clean the glass surface or move to a cleaner area of the glass.
将玻璃表面或是受测区擦乾净.

4.      Remove dust particles from the laser aperture area on the back of the Glass-Chek. Use air or a soft, lint-free cloth to remove any dirt or dust particles from the laser filter area.
将仪器雷射发射处的灰尘清掉. 用吹气的或是不起毛软布清掉.

5.      Check that the two window surfaces are relatively parallel to each other and to the Glass-Chek unit.
检查两片窗户的表面相互平行.

6.      Verify the operating temperature range.
检查操作温度范围.

7.      If only a partial reading occurs, move to another location on the glass or take a reading from the other side.
如果只是部份发生,请移到另个区域作量测.
 
The temperature where I need to take readings is outside the Glass-Chek operating range.测量环境温度在仪器操作范围外
 For cold temperatures: 低温

1. Attempt to keep the unit in a warmer environment until you are ready to   take the readings.
测量之前请将仪器放在一个较温暖的地方.
The Glass-Chek will record accurate readings up to the point the electronics reach the outside temperature which is below the operating range.
这样Glass-Chek就可以精确记录低於使用环境温度范围的读数.
Depending on the degree of coldness, this will allow for several readings to be taken.
根据低温程度,应多进行几次量测.

2. Carry the Glass-Chek in your pocket or in some other manner which will keep the unit near a warmer temperature.
将仪器放在温暖的地方,比如说您的口袋裡或是暖气附近.

3. Operate the unit several times repeatedly in an attempt to warm up the die of the laser module itself.
将仪器操作几次,便可以将雷射光源做暖机.
This will work in temperatures which are not greatly beneath the operating temperature range.
在不超过操作温度范围太多之下,仪器可以使用.

For hot temperatures: 高温

1. Attempt to keep the unit in a cooler environment until you are ready to
   take readings.
测量之前请将仪器放在一个比较凉爽的地方.
The Glass-Chek will record accurate readings up to the point the electronics reach the outside temperature which is above the operating range.
这样Glass-Chek就可以精确记录低於使用环境温度范围的读数.
Depending on the extent of the heat, several accurate readings should be obtained.
根据高温程度,应会多进行几次量测.
 
"REPLACE BATTERY" appears on the display.
显示”更换电池”
 1. Replace the battery with a 9 volt alkaline battery ONLY (NEDA 1604A).
更换九伏特醶性电池即可.
 
"EXCESSIVE LIGHT" appears on the display
显示”过度光源”
 1.      Attempt to block the source of the bright light.
试图将光线挡起来.
If the light is coming from behind you, cup your hand over the right edge of the Glass-Chek while you are taking the reading.
若光源从您身后来,请从右侧将您的手遮住它.
If the light source is on the other side of the window you are testing, move to another location or block the light source.
若光源从另一侧来,则阻挡光线或是移到另一个区域.

2.      Pointing the Glass-Chek directly into the sun will typically result in an "excessive light' condition.
若将仪器直接面向太阳光就会显示”过度光源”.
Shift your glass sample so the Glass-Chek is at an angle of approximately 15 to 20 degrees with respect to the sun.
只要将玻璃样品移到,仪器与太阳光的角度大约在十五到二十度之间即可.

Important Notes 注意事项
Replace Battery with a 9 Volt Alkaline Only (NEDA 1604A)
更换九伏特醶性电池即可.
 
Warranty Information 保固
Do not open the enclosure or adjust the screws that hold the enclosure together.
请不要打开外壳也不要使用起子调整外壳上的螺丝.
This will void the warranty and alter the calibration of the GLASS-CHEK meter.
这会使保固失效,也会改变仪器的定标.

The manufacturer warrants all models of the GC2000 to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service as specified within the operator's manual.
EDTM对於使用者依据操作手册的正常使用下时的材料和工艺的瑕疵免费保固.
The manufacturer shall repair or replace the unit within ninety (90) days from the original date of shipment after the unit is returned to the manufacturers factory, prepaid by the user, and the unit is disclosed to the manufacturers satisfaction, to be thus defective.

This warranty shall not apply to any unit that has been repaired or altered other than by the manufacturer.
